Offa's Dyke
The Offa’s Dyke is a linear earthwork that roughly follows the Welsh English border.
It is 177 miles long and named after King Offa of Mercia. Although the exact date is unknown, the earthwork was constructed throughout the dark ages forming a border between Mercia and the kingdoms in what is now Wales.

Now a path, the Dyke passes through many different types of landscape, from the upland stretches in the Brecon Beacons, to the flatter stretches following the River Severn.

The Offa's Dyke is a place in between: on the fringes of society, community, cultures, and countries. A place of connectivity and division.
